Lifitup Branding Concept

Lifitup is one of my favorite conceptual projects. A fictional fitness brand that is a representation of different values and principles that have helped me grow. There are so many wonderful fitness brands around the world and carving space can be its own challenge. The market research and thinking of how to give this brand its own voice really sharpened my understanding of design as a whole.

Each element was carefully thought out and executed. My goal was to communicate a powerful, fit, and motivational brand. Thank you to the Incredible Hulk for the color inspiration. Nothing screams powerful and strong like that beast.

Branding is more than just a pretty logo!

Royal Brew Concept

Another fun concept. I absolutely love coffee! The opportunity to create a coffee shop was so much fun. Even though I have been drinking coffee since childhood. That did not stop me from learning something new about the sector. Learning about large franchises and small mom and pop shops, the process of making coffee, and so much more! My process is similar but the results are catered to a different set of problems and goals.

Eat | Design | Repeat

What is the difference between art and design? The answer to this question may be different for everyone! For me, art is a freedom of expression and interpretation. Art reflects life. Design uses similar fundamental principles but a few key differences. FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. Design is to be used to help society. Everyday tools like maps or packaging have been touched by a designer. Quality design solves problems, compared to art that is subject to interpretation.

I love the idea of applying art to problems simply because it results in organic solutions. The right color can change the atmosphere of any environmental or medium. The perfect balance of typefaces can allow a reader to navigate a beautiful story or technical information effortlessly. The layout of a web page can help users find information fast.

Every problem is different! Which demands different ways of thinking. Design thinking is a concept I fell in love with. Asking and answering WHO. WHAT . WHEN .WHERE and most importantly WHY questions are so much fun. Proper research and planning leads to magnificent results. Diving into a new subject is always thrilling and fulfilling for me.

My creative process has been polished, leadership techniques have matured, and curiosity leads me to new ambitions. Delivering simple solutions beautifully is my goal as a creative professional. The digital-focused market led me to return to school to progress in my front- end development skills. Studying user experience and web development. Each day my skills improve and confidence to solve many different problems increases.

Design Thinking

is my lifestyle. Each day I ask myself, what can be better today?

UX/UI Web Design

With a couple of cups of coffee, unique solutions are produced. I never hesitate to go above and beyond and ask in-depth questions of not only the subject but also the how and the why. My mission is to develop dynamic relationships and work with great teams.

Web design evolves so fast that staying up to date with the latest technology and gadgets is a challenge. It is important to remember that people use websites. User experience and information architecture can help identify the user’s needs first and leverage diverse business goals. Users want to find information relative to them quickly. Mobile first design leads to the best results in my opinion.

Currently I am focusing on Front-end Development. Learning development is like playing with old school LEGO’s. Like the great Tim Duncan (BIG FUNDAMENTAL), I enjoy learning and mastering the fundamentals. The goal is to become a Full-stack developer at some point in my career. Wearing multiple creative “hats” allows me to bloom at my own pace.
